The chiefs depicted by Léon Dardenne, whose names are known thanks to the notes of the artist and the publicising of the expedition, have possibly left a trace in the social memory of Katanga. It would be interesting to collect facts still present in the memory of the people and compare them to the historical data kept in the archives. The RMCA has offered to organise such a project.
