Legend

Open single-skinned vase-shaped drum on a concave base. This type of drum is a good example of a waist drum. A small wood-sculpted centre band divides the drum into two parts. At the bottom of this middle band, three pieces of skin have been attached with wooden pins. There is a hole at the side at the top of the drum through which there is a small piece of raffia fibre. The string serves as a hand grip for holding the drum.
