Legend

Closed double-skinned cylindrical-conical drum with threaded skin. Some of these drums are not only large, they are also characterised by an ingenious system of strings which connects the top and the bottom. The result is a leather string of a few metres long. These strings are obtained by drying cow skin in the hot sun and then scraping it clean, after which it is soaked in water for several days to make it supple. To obtain small strips of animal skin, one begins on the outside of the skin.
