King Mtesa and his chiefs. Stanley visited the King several times during his travels, and was hosted at the King’s court. Mtesa was the ruler of one of the kingdoms of Uganda.
This photograph, in threefold, mounted on card, is kept in the Henry M. Stanley Archives (King Baudouin Foundation Collection held in trust at the RMCA).
