Legend
Eugène Laurent (1858-1905) was a medical doctor employed by Congo Free State, who stayed in the Bangala district. The station at N'Zobe depicted here clearly shows the occupation of the area. The dwellings built in a straight line, plenty of open spaces and straight plantations give it a rather military character. The forest seems to have been pushed to a far-away area.
