Legend
Charles Callewaert and his contemporaries of the CEHC also drew several aspects of local cultures such as these knives of the Upper Congo. Similar knives are found in the ethnographic collection brought back by Henry Morton Stanley and in the ethnographic collection of the RMCA. Multidisciplinary expertise enables the RMCA to examine the material culture of the DRC, history or cultural anthropology as seen by Europeans or Africans.
