Legend
The RMCA has documents in its archives relating to Jane Tercafs and to her ethnographic notes. Her notes deal with the language, religion and legends of the Mangbetu. She was also interested in archaeological remains. She related the language of the societies she encountered in Uele to ancient Egyptian. This approach proved to be controversial in scientific circles.
