Legend

Statuette of "Henry Morton Stanley, in his explorer outfit", by J. A. P. Mc Bride. It is made of "Parian", unglazed marble-like white porcelain, very much in favour for sculptures in the Victorian era. This statuette was produced by the Mintons factory, Stoke-on-Trent (UK). Along with other objects, it records Stanley's fame and iconography, and the Victorian era.
